Across the United States, more and more families now have a son, daughter or friend with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. As awareness increases and the number of cases grows, so does the call for effective interventions and supports.
Help meet the critical need in our public schools. Support our efforts to help teachers and staff in general education classrooms get the training they need to teach children with Autism Spectrum Disorders effectively. The AUTISM Educators Act (H.R. 5195) is an important initiative to make this happen. The training will not only help students with ASD who are integrated in general education classrooms, but it will also improve educational outcomes for many learners.
